‘ICT Device Lab’ Challenges Global Smart Device Market

ICT Device Lab, which supports companies in the field of smart devices in Korea and ICT Device Lab, exhibited at MWC 2018 (Mobile World Congress), the world’s largest mobile telecommunication exhibition to be held from February 26 (Monday) to March 1 (Thursday) ‘ICT Device Lab Joint Venture’ to showcase the best smart device products in Korea.

ICT DeviceLab is a pre-founder and initiator of smart device field through the opening of ICT device labs in six regions in 2015 with the participation of IITP and the Daegu Techno Park Mobile Convergence Center. It has been providing support to small and medium venture companies from ideas to education, mentoring, commercialization, testing/certification and market entry. It has reached 500 cases so far. ICT Device Lab has been selected as the best product among the eligible recipients and has participated in the annual MWC exhibition since 2015. This year’s exhibition is the fourth time.

The ‘Pest Control Machine’ is receiving interests by a lot of farms. Currently, the farms are facing crop damage due to the wild animals, such as boar or deer every year when harvest season comes. From 2009 to 2014, crop damage caused by wild animals has been reported to be 67.3 billion won.

In this situation, ‘Gwangjin Enterprise was very interested in the exhibition of COEX Smart Fair in Seoul on December 1st. Dec. 19, 2017 KT 5G in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, in the village, 10 machines have been set up to eradicate wild boar as a result of their desperate efforts. On January 1, 2018, KBS’s program, “6pm, My home country (6436 episode)” broadcasted about the machine, and from then, so many inquiries are coming in nationwide.

‘Smart sleeping child check system’, makes the driver to tag the NFC attached at the most back side of the inside the vehicle, in order to check whether there is a child in sleep.

If the driver does not tag, then it is made to send warning alarm to the driver, lead teacher and the admin. In addition, it provides various additional functions such as, vehicle position, over speed alarm, and real-time video monitoring of inside the vehicle.

In the field of Robot & Wearable, there are ‘KamiBot’, robot for coding education of 3.14 Co., Ltd., ‘Pibo’, robot of artificial intelligence created by Circulus Co., Ltd., ‘Reflex Strap’, a flexible battery for smart watch of Libest Co., and ‘Boic Search’ which is a wearable ear set of Boic Search’ for smart watch bezel.

K-ICT Device Lab, which participates in the MWC exhibition twice in a row this year, was available at Hall 1 (1C51) in the Fira Gran Via exhibition hall in Barcelona, Spain.
