HOSPI (CEO Sung Ha-Chung) have participated ‘The 34th Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (hereinafter referred to as, KIMES 2018)’ from Mar. 15th (Thu) to 18th (Sun) and presented ‘WALKER VIEW’.
HOSPI is a 23 year rehabilitation medical sports company, and distributes to Korea by importing products from Europe, North America, and others. This time presented ‘WALKER VIEW’ is a product of Tecno Body Company, which is a rehabilitation medical device combined with running machine and 3D camera. It is also equipped with a harness that secures the occupant’s body, so it is effective in treating posture correction.
The way it works is simple. When you step into a treadmill and select the speed, background, and character, the 3D camera scans you and automatically recognizes you. Users can customize their movements as they desire among the real life, avatar, or characters. When walking or running, sensors that recognize each joint analyze the user, analyze the upper and lower body, hip, front and rear parts of the knee, and analyze the left and right sides of the knee to help ensure accurate walking. In particular, it measures the pace and width of a foot, and also calculates the load on the area and the pressure of a foot. The product targets people who need rehabilitation, such as patients or elderly, people who need correction in walking, and athletes. It is also in use in FIFA Medical Center for Sports Rehabilitation. In addition, the user screen and the screen that the medical staff can check can be separated, allowing for more efficient healthcare. The officials of the company said, “We want to help the users get more interesting training”, and added, “With the fourth industrial revolution and technological approach to the medical sector, we would like to contribute to the development of this exhibition”.
On the other hand, KIMES is Korea’s largest medical equipment and hospital facility exhibition which has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its opening in 1980. The nation`s medical industry is now transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry, with medical information systems, ultrasound detectors and imaging medical devices, robotic medicine, AI and rehabilitation drugs. As KIMES contributes to the advancement of the Korean medical industry, it has become a world-class medical exhibition.
