Namgyeong will showcase its remote battery management system at CES 2019, the world’s largest technology exhibition in Las Vegas, from January 8 (Tue) to January 11 (Fri).
Namgyeong participating in this exhibition is a start-up venture company whose main business item is battery management system using internet after the establishment of business in 2014. Our company’s technology, “Battery management system using Internet of things”, confirms the status of each battery according to the type of battery, characteristics of the battery, and the device in which the battery is used, And thereby enable stable operation of the device and improve the user’s convenience.
The company has seen that battery performance deterioration and life expectancy cannot be reached. It has also seen the prolongation of life through efficient management of battery, energy saving through recycling through waste batteries, and green growth potential. Therefore, after studying the commercialization of battery BMS and battery regenerator through research on this business field, the company started commercialization from 2014. Current battery management follows the BMS method, and this system is expensive and does not check the remaining battery capacity. For example, if the life expectancy of a battery is two years, unnecessary cost increase is achieved by replacing the whole battery after two years. Therefore, we are trying to provide a battery management system that can reduce the replacement cost by checking the remaining battery charge and reduce the uninterruptible risk (including blackout).
Advantages of remote battery management system include: ▲ Reduction of battery management labor cost by introducing battery sensor equipment ▲ Minimal maintenance cost such as real-time battery status check and bad battery warning function ▲ Increase convenience of battery condition management by remote automatic check ▲ Maximum Eight batteries can be checked. ▲ Pre-check and management of battery status to prolong life and reduce replacement costs.
