Protest against racism that sparked by the death of George
Floyd, a black man, is spreading across the United States and also to the major
cities in the world.
So this time, fans of BTS member Jungkook went on a donation relay to the organizations that are related to BLM (Black Lives Matter) or working for campaigns against racism
BTS Jungkook’s fan club in Korea With the message, “We support and root for Black Lives Matter, and we have made a small donation to three organization,” Jungkook’s supporters disclosed the donation made in Jungkook’s name.
Jungkook’s supporters also reported that the donation was made at the expense of the administrators.
On June 2, Jungkook’s large fan account MADE IN 1997 announced on their Twitter account that it made two donations in the name of Jeon Jungkook with a message, “No more racism! We are together. Let’s fight this. Black Lives matter.”
They didn’t stop here. They even posted on how to make donations and encouraged people to donate so that fans from all over the world can also participate.
It was also reported that Jungkook’s overseas fan base union Golden Union and the overseas fan account Jungkook Times made donations for the BML campaign.
On the other hand, BTS’s fandom ARMY is supporting and cheering for anti-racism. They are sending the messages of encouragement with the hashtags used in the protest #BlackLivesMatter and also the messages of condolences and support #WeLoveYouBlackArmy.
