KOGAS participated in the 17th International Green Energy Expo held at EXCO, Daegu from July 15-17 to showcase hydrogen economy, Korea’s future energy.

KOGAS is leading the hydrogen economy era beyond the existing gas management industry. It was selected as the Hydrogen Distribution Agency at the hydrogen agency’s public contest held by MOTIE to play a pivotal role in the future hydrogen economy era.

Hydrogen economy refers to the structure of the economic industry that uses hydrogen as the main energy source. It is the economic system done by first moving away from the current energy system centered on fossil fuels, increasing the production of automobiles, ships, trains, machinery, or the production of electric power generation that use hydrogen as the energy, and recreating all industries and markets required to produce, store, and transport hydrogen with stability.

An official from the KOGAS said, “Facing the strengthening of international environmental regulations on fossil fuels and the era of Industry 4.0, competition among countries to discover sustainable future energy and take the first place in technologies is fierce. We will lead in opening a bright future with eco-friendly energy hydrogen that does not emit pollutants.”
