CEO Jeon Woo-yeol of VentaVR participated in the MIK HOT SPOT (Made in Korea Online Exhibition) Korea Techno-Venture Foundation and announced the aim to globally promote vivid and realistic VR and AR content. To listen to the details, AVING News met CEO Jeon Woo-yeol of VentaVR to conduct an interview.
Please introduce your company briefly.
Founded in 2015 with key members with over 10 years of experience, VentaVR is a total studio with the ability to perform everything from planning to production of VR (virtual reality)/Augmented Reality (AR) contents. In the market which mainly consisted of 2D VR video contents or CG-oriented contents, we received the attention by introducing S3D (Stereoscopic 3D) VR video content.
We are developing contents with uniqueness and originality of VentaVR that will attract the favorable response by users of various ages and nationalities, targeting the launch of famous domestic and foreign VR service platform. Currently, we are actively producing ultra-high-definition 3D VR/volumetry AR sensory contents suitable for 5G, and we are constantly challenging for new business expansion, global entry, and new technologies.
Please introduce your main products and systems.
We have expertise and specialists in AR/VR production solutions (Pre, Production, Post). We are utilizing our own development league and producing over 300 high-quality VR•AR contents per year through mass production pipelines.
We can also talk about 3D VR Live Solution. We are providing the service to enjoy various events such as performances/sports in real-time 3D VR live. It is a VR live broadcasting solution that utilizes real-time VR image conversion and stereoscopic stabilization technology to stably convert/transmit 4K, 60P, and stereoscopic high-capacity images, providing real-time VR subtitles and CG effects.
CMS safety education solution is also one of the main services. It is a CMS (Content Management System) solution that can simultaneously train and control more than 100 people with 3D VR safety education contents based on ultra-high-quality inspection. It provides an optimized set of built-in 4K VR headsets, making it easy and simple to train and manage. You can apply this in various educational fields.
What are your plans for the future?
In the post-COVID era, we will provide 3D VR Live live broadcast service so that more people can experience more vivid scenes, and as a way of utilizing CMS solution for non-face-to-face training, we are going to provide the next-generation educational contents that combine live-action videos and CG. I would like to create content that can relieve users’ anxiety and fatigue in the world of untact culture.

Was there a KTVF program that was helpful?
In 2019, we were recognized as a company with high growth potential through the commercialization support from KISED’s startup leap package project and received financial support to produce the VR contents with Oh My Girl, which will be commercialized soon. In addition, we were selected as an Industry 4.0 AR/VR specialist and performed MSS’s innovative growth package. There, we were able to upgrade our original technology and went one step closer to activating the technology development and improving the chance of successful commercialization.
Any last comments?
I wish many people try out various VR/AR contents in 5G commercialization era. We would like to work together so that the market becomes more active and contents of various genres can work out.
Korea Techno-Venture Foundation (KTVF), which supported companies participating in the MIK HOT SPOT (Made in Korea Online Exhibition), is a non-profit foundation funded by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) to promote new technology startups and support global advancement. The global news network AVING News has begun holding the MIK Hot Spot (Made in Korea Online Exhibition) to help small and medium-sized companies enter the market and attract investment 365 days a year’ AVING News has been running online exhibitions since 2005 and had 975 online exhibitions so far. Its YouTube online exhibition has placed itself as Korea’s largest online exhibition hall that opens with 19,000 videos (booths) with more than 800,000 visits per month which means more than 10 million visits per year.
The MIK HOT SPOT online exhibition is scheduled to be held regularly according to the field, target market, and participating institutions, and it will be presented as a new type of online business by transforming the know-hows and values of the participating companies according to the trend.
