It is Ccotmul’s wish to present the time of healing to the customers with its flower tea. AVING News interviewed Kim Bo-min, the CEO of Ccotmul, which participated in the MIK HOT SPOT (Made in Korea Online Exhibition) Seoul Food Startup Center.

Please introduce your company briefly.

Hi. This is Kim Bo-min, the CEO of Ccotmul, a company that blends Korean traditional flower tea with young sentiments. I can’t drink coffee because I’m sensitive to caffeine. When I go to cafes, there were only foreign imported teas such as chamomile and lavender, and I wondered if there would be any beautiful flower teas in Korea. I learned about flower tea from local traditional flower tea masters, and I interpreted it in modern, friendly and casual way.

Please describe the products.

We are making the Ccotmul products with our own patented method that can maintain the original shape and color of flowers as much as possible. Natural flower tea preserved the original shape of the flower manufactured into a traditional flower tea. Blended flower tea is in the form of tea bag, so it is convenient to drink, and it is a product that enhances taste and aroma by blending herbs and fruits as well as flowers.

We use the flower grown in clean areas under the supply agreement with local flower farms. We have flowers that we grow for the research purposes in Ccotmul’s own farm located in Goyang, sized 400 pyeong.

What are your plans to enter the market?

There is a program that selects and runs startups with innovative products from around the world at the Amazon headquarters. Ccotmul is about to enter the US market this time with Amazon Launchpad. I think this opportunity will be a valuable opportunity to promote Korean flower tea in the US.

What are your plans for the future?

Currently, we have a lineup of 16 types of products. It is important to present a variety of traditional flower teas to customers, but in the future, we plan to understand more deeply about the flowers we handle and study more various ways to use them. In the future, we plan to develop a powder stick that easily dissolves in water by powdering flowers so that you can drink tea more conveniently.
