Bartonus is a startup made by developers from KAIST and ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), and it developed a non-face-to-face child-friendly city discussion system with UNICEF, AI-based walking/educational applications for the visually impaired, and child-locked-in-vehicle accident prevention device with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
The company staff said, “We are developing an AI-based application that informs the direction of pedestrian crossing by voice and tactile sense using a smartphone that the visually impaired always carries (△ Pedestrian crossing for the visually impaired). In addition, instead of connecting the existing vehicle wires to the unloading bell, we have developed the CCUCC button that automatically sets off the alarm when the engine is turned off by simply connecting a button to USB or cigar jack and supplying it. (△ CCUCC button to prevent child-locked-in-vehicle accidents).”
He then said, “We developed the online discussion platform that enables remote discussions non-face-to-face (△ UNICEF’s child-friendly city non-face-to-face discussion platform). For children who cannot type well, we have made it possible to deliver the message from the children by video or audio, and to analyze the opinion, the video or audio data is automatically converted into text and analyze. We developed a platform where everyone can participate by fulfilling the web accessibility for the visually impaired.”
Adding to this, he said, “Machine learning technology for text, image, and video, and voice-related TTS/STT technology are our specialties.
