In celebration of World Meteorological Day 2013 and the 30th anniversary of the meteorological photo exhibition, the Korea Meteorological Administration will hold a special exhibition on weather and climate photos for nine days between March 21 and 29. In the exhibition to be held in Seoul City Hall, photos by 50 winners from the contest will be on display, as well as 100 artworks from previous years’ contests.
The photo contest has been entered by 1,635 photographers. Of these, “Water Lilies” by Kim Tae-yong has won the best award. The second-best awards went to Park Woo-jin (“Bolt of Lightning”) and Choi Ji-yong (“Volcano Eruption”). Once the Seoul City Hall exhibition is completed, the administration will take the exhibition tour of five cities including Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon, Gangreung, and Jeju
