Kona Natural Soap Company(soapmaker: Greg Colden, www.KonaNaturalSoap.com) introduced handmade natural soaps and natural essential oils made in Hawaii at ‘The 76th Tokyo International Gift Show Autumn 2013’ held in Big Sight, Odaiba, Tokyo from September 4th to 6th.
Kona Natural Soap Company does not use artificial ingredients or synthetic materials. Some of the exotic ingredients include organic and Hawaiian grown exfoliants, Hawaiian cacao (chocolate), Kona coffee, pure Hawaiian rain water, and the health benefits of Kukui Nut Oil. These soaps are all handmade in the small Holualoa factory located on the Kona Historical Corridor of Mamalahoa Highway. They are cured, individually hand cut to approximately 3.2 – 4.0 ounces (100g), and boxed at the facility to be sent directly to consumers.
There are no artificial ingredients or colors used in any of the soap formulas. The basic oil ingredients include olive oil, palm kernel oil, and coconut oil. Hawaiian kukui nut oil is also added due to its healing and health benefits. The formulas also include natural rain water captured and filtered at the factory. The colors in each bar of soap are natural and are formed by either natural herbs, by an exfoliant, or an essential oil. The essential oils used are of aromatherapy grade. All of the marbled formulas are created by hand when they pour the soap into the molds.
This company is located on their own farm in the mauka town of Holualoa. They have their 1,100 square foot manufacturing facility built in 2005 and are completely solar powered as of 2010. They continue to have customers and visitors from all over the world resulting in loyal following from Japan and Russia to Australia and Brazil. “Petroleum synthetics are not beneficial to your skin and will cause it to dry out more often. We have many customers saying they feel a great change after using these Kona Natural Soaps, especially who had asthma or atopic dermatitis. Our soaps are also great for your pets.”, said Greg.
