Green Car Korea 2014 started at Kimdaejung Convention Center on December 18. It will be held for three days.
Hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City, co-organized by Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju Institute of Green car Component Industry Advancement(GIGCI), and KOTRA, and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Environment, this is the only exhibition in Korea that is fully dedicated to environmentally friendly cars.
110 companies from six countries including Germany, Sweden, China, and Japan attended this exhibition. High-tech cars like electric cars, clean diesel cars, fuel cell cars, and front-wheel drive cars as well as auto-related goods such as auto parts, accessories, and battery chargers will be displayed at the exhibition.
For the opening ceremony, Wu Beom-gi, the head of economic department from Gwangju Metropolitan City and many high-level guests from GIGCI, Fine Motors, and Dawoo Eng Tech came to highlight the event.
At the exhibition, an MOU for exporting auto parts was signed. Auto-related companies stationed in Gwangju like Namdo Mold Corporation, AM Special Vehicle, and Lado signed the contract with companies in Moldova, Vietnam, and Ecuador.
There is also 1:1 export consultation co-organized with KOTRA to help the companies find new business opportunities.
A large number of auto part buyers for major global auto companies like Ford, Toyota, Delphi, Magna came to Gwangju to look for auto parts for eco-friendly and low-emission cars.
A variety of fun and exciting events will be held for the visitors. Helpful seminars like “2014 International Green Car and Smart Car Technology Forum,” “Convergence Accessories for 1 Million Cars,” “The 4th Electric Car Leaders Forum” are being held to provide an in-depth information on car industry.
There is a test ride for EV/FCEV cars, “Black Friday Sale” for auto parts and accessories. Eye-catching prizes like electric motorcycles, Treximo, NPP tryout ticket, and blackboxes are available to increase the attention from the visitors.
