Waste Resources Energy Center promoted its solid fuel product registration and inspection system for International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2016) held in Seoul Coex from May 31st (Tue) to June 3rd (Fri).

Waste Resource Energy Center is under KECO (Korea Environment Corporation) and manages the solid fuel department by certifying and inspecting the products. Along with aforementioned tasks, they also frequently check institutions that use solid fuel to check the work environment and the use of said solid fuels. Moreover, they manage waste resources energy department in a system and support the dynamization of various policies.

Solid fuel products are sorted into two categories of fuels: average solid fuel products and bio solid fuels. Solid fuel products are made by compiling the flammable waste and reusing the thermal energy when the waste products are burning in the incinerator.

If companies or institutions utilize this method to efficiently use all resources available to save nonrenewable resources, they can get sponsorship funds through EPR. By simply registering at Waste Resource Energy Center’s website, the solid fuel products are inspected and certified, then the Waste Resource Energy Center determines if the use for the energy made by incineration is proper and safe. Afterwards, the Waste Resource Energy Center checks each institutions yearly to make sure the solid fuels are being used efficiently.

Meanwhile, ENVEX 2016 is supervised by KEPA (Korea Environmental Preservation Association) and organized by KECO (Korea Environment Corporation), SLC (SUDOKWON Landfill Site Management), KEITI (Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute), and KEPA. ENVEX 2016 is the largest trade show in the environment tech and renewable energy industry in Korea, with over 2,000 eco-friendly technologies and products on display.
