UNION showcased its patented chain technology Filter Press in International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2016) held in Seoul Coex from May 31st (Tue) to June 3rd (Fri).
UNION’s spotlight of their booth was on their ‘Filter Press’, which is an improvement of a practical filter press with wires—UNION’s filter press uses their patented chain technology to filter sludge. This significantly improved the lifespan of the product while along with the product stability.
UNION’s filter press is designed to be used in water treatment plant due to its large scale design. The process is completely automated, and comes with autopilot system. With its high-efficiency dehydration technology, institutions that use UNION’s filter press can save money on waste management with reduced waste.
UNION also displayed ‘Screw Press’, a dehydration unit to filter sludge. With its completely closed system, it prevents odor from escaping the system—a perfect solution for sewage treatment plants. With its high efficiency structure, the institutions that use UNION’s Screw Press can save on operational costs. The internal screw rotates slowly, which reduces noise and vibration.
UNION was founded in 1964, and has been in a technical partnership with Japan’s ISHIGAKI. UNION has been developing and manufacturing sludge dehydration units and industrial filtration system to alleviate the pollution of sewage and waste water. Their main product line includes industrial filtration systems, dehydration units, pollutant treatment facilities, and special cements.
Meanwhile, ENVEX 2016 is supervised by KEPA (Korea Environmental Preservation Association) and organized by KECO (Korea Environment Corporation), SLC (SUDOKWON Landfill Site Management), KEITI (Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute), and KEPA. ENVEX 2016 is the largest trade show in the environment tech and renewable energy industry in Korea, with over 2,000 eco-friendly technologies and products on display.
