INsight Power introduced its smart plug “WattDream” at Korea Electronics Show 2016, which ran Oct. 26-29 at COEX.
Established in 2013, INSight Power is a venture company developing smart plugs that can be controlled by an app. It is now working on developing the products with improved scheduling features so that the electronic appliances can be turned on and off according to the lifestyles of the users.
Its smart plug, “Wattdream,” not only turns on and off with the smartphone app, but can also be scheduled when it should be turned on and off, which contributes to saving the energy.
It gets connected to the smartphones through Bluetooth. This makes it easier for the users to control it because not much technological knowledge is needed.
CEO Jeon Byeong-sub said, “We developed our energy-saving device WattDream to help save energy, and we received a prime minister’s award from MOITE for contributing to the development of the industry with the technology that can easily be adapted to the current devices.”
