HARPER ENGINEERING MACAU LIMITED introduced ‘i-MiEV’, an eco-friendly electric vehicle of MITSUBISHI at ‘2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition’ which runs from March 30th to April. 1st at Venetian Macao Expo hall.
‘MiEV OS’ is a next generation management system for the electric vehicle. It aims to increase efficiency, usability, and stability while performing fundamental functions such as monitoring battery status, recovering energy from regenerative braking and supporting gentle yet powerful driving.
A representative explained that the regenerative braking starts as the driver takes feet off from the accelerator, and the amount of restored energy is equal to deceleration. Therefore, this will efficiently increase the driving range.
Also, ASC(Active Stability Control) controlled by MiEV OS, minimizes unnecessary movement while rapid turning of steering wheel to avoid obstacles. Under the circumstance of wet road, TCL(Traction Control) restrains decrease in traction to improve acceleration stability.
Full charge of ‘i-MiEV’ takes around 8 hours using AC230V, 10A socket, but it can be recharged rapidly up to 80% within 30 minutes using 50kW. Active acceleration and power transmission is available due to light-PMG(Permanent Magnet synchronous Motor) while improved steering stability with rear wheel drive.
It can drive up to 160km at full charge, providing various optimized gears that fits with the driving style.
Meanwhile, MIECF is an international exhibition that promotes the technological and information exchange between the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (Hong Kong, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Macao) in Southern Mainland China and international markets. This year, it was run by the theme: Innovative Green Development for Sustainable Future.
