UFirst Co., Ltd. (CEO Fedora Lee) announced the first launch of ‘Nuguna Neckband’, the world’s first environment sensor, on June 19, 2017 at Kick Starter, the crowdfunding website of the United States.
‘Nuguna Neckband’ is a product that notifies the people with hearing loss by detecting the high-pitched surrounding sounds and tells the direction of the sound through vibration.
CEO Fedora Lee of UFirst said ‘Nuguna Neckband’ was developed so that “Everyone can do what anyone can do.” He said, “We want to make the world better and make the technology more equitable through this product.” “‘Nuguna Neckband’ will be officially launched via Kick Starter in June 2017,” he said.
‘Nuguna Neckband’ is ergonomically designed so that it does not feel uncomfortable even when worn for a long time, and it is easy to use for the user because it notifies the user of the direction of sounds even when there is no hearing aid.
There are two modes: “Nuguna Neckband (NNF-001)”, an offline mode that allows you to set the sensitivity of sound, and “Nuguna Neckband (NNO-001)” an on-line mode that allows you to easily set the vibration time and sensitivity.
“The online mode “Nuguna Neckband (NNO-001)” saves the basic settings set by the smartphone in the hardware, so even if it is disconnected with the smartphone, it will tell you the direction of the sound through vibration.
In particular, the online mode “Nuguna Neckband (NNO-001)” is equipped with a function that sends notifications such as earthquakes and tornadoes alarms to users based on the natural disaster alert of the National Environmental Information Center (NCEI).
UFirst is going to do Kick Starter funding campaign on June 19. Offline model will be $158 (USD, 35% discount from the consumer price $ 198). Offline model will be $ 158 (USD, 36% discount from consumer price $ 248).
